Chlorine and sulphur are unforgiving. Six decades of indigenous process development mean we run them as routine — from route scouting in the laboratory to multi-tonne campaigns at Ekalbara.

Handling chlorine and sulphur at scale places an obligation on us — to our people, to the communities around Ekalbara and Vadodara, and to the environment we operate in.
We use biowaste to fuel our entire steam generation.
Using our proprietary biofiltration technology, we recycle village sewage water and use it for plantation. We also use biofilters to treat some of our process effluent water.

Our flagship chemistry
Thionyl chloride, mastered
Transpek pioneered thionyl chloride manufacture in India and built everything else on top of it. SOCl2 is the workhorse chlorinating agent for carboxylic acids, alcohols and active methylenes — and because we make our own, we control the quality, the cost and the continuity of every acid chloride downstream of it.
That backward integration is why customers in regulated industries treat us as a long-term supply partner rather than a spot vendor.
